One Tree Hill knows how to leave us hanging! Get ready for tomorrow night's season premiere (9/8c) with Jason C.'s finale recap:
Gossip Girl's long-awaited season premiere is this Monday at 8/7c! It's been awhile since the finale, so refresh your memory on how the first season ended with Jason C.'s finale recap:
Sophia Bush stopped by our NYC studios for a chat this morning, and Obama's acceptance speech from last night was on her mind. See what Sophia had to say about why Obama inspires her:
We'll have plenty more from Sophia on Monday, just in time for One Tree Hill's sixth season premiere!
As the Midwestern matriarch of the Wilson clan, Lori Loughlin's character, Debbie, has a lot of changes to deal with once the family moves to California. Lori tells Jason C. about the show's multi-generational plotlines, why she adores working with Jessica Walter, and where she'll watch the premiere:
Then Rob Estes talks about his spiffy sneakers, his character's tough parenting, and working with Lori Loughlin:
Jessica Stroup's been getting so into her role Silver on 90210 that she's taking some cues from her character's behavior in real life! She tells Jason C. about why Silver is the most fun character she's gotten to play:
Dustin Milligan dished to Jason C. about his character, Ethan, his issues with Dixon, and how no one on 90210 is quite what they seem:
As Ty, the richest kid in school on 90210, Adam Gregory's been sweeping women off their feet with slick moves and lots of cash. But in real life, he's much more down-to-earth -- Adam tells Jason C. about his Midwestern roots, his musical background, and which artists his California friends won't let him play!
Lauren Conrad lives quite a charmed life on The Hills, so US Weekly's news that she'll be guest-starring on Privileged doesn't seem like too much of a stretch. She'll be playing herself, which we're torn about -- on one hand, it's nice to know exactly what we're getting into with LC on Privileged, but on the other, it might've been cool to see her stretch a little and try out some acting skills. Can you imagine her playing someone totally different -- a diva, a crybaby, a (gasp!) wallflower?
Lauren's episode will air October 7. What do you think? Will Lauren be a good addition to the show? You tell us -- vote in the poll and let us know what you think in the comments.
Sarah, Mia and I can't handle the wait much longer for our shows to return -- so to help us get through the final week before all the premieres start, we're podcasting about The CW's new season!
There's plenty to discuss. We dissect all the buzz about 90210, wonder how One Tree Hill and Supernatural will pick up after their huge season-ending cliffhangers, and discuss Smallville's many evil villains hoping to fill Lex's shoes. Plus, there's a transgendered contestant on America's Next Top Model, the Privileged and Stylista premieres, and new romantic possibilities on Gossip Girl. Which shows will be worth the hype (we hope 90210!), and which shows deserve more attention (The Game and Everybody Hates Chris, anyone?) or even just a timeslot (poor Reaper!)?
Listen to our CW new season podcast and let us know which shows you're most excited about in the comments!
Check out the first five minutes of the Gossip Girl season two premiere!
Our thoughts and a poll after the jump for those of you who hate spoilers...
So we've got Nate hooking up with that much-discussed cougar, Serena looking mopey, Blair heading back to town, Chuck leering as usual, and... Dan with someone new! That was the one thing we didn't really see coming. Interesting.
Tell us what you think of the clip in the comments!
Jennie Garth had some fun with Jason C. at the 90210 premiere party! Find out her take on this new version of a classic.
At the premiere party, Shannen Doherty tells Jason C. about how Brenda's mellowed out on the new 90210!
There's more to come from the rest of the cast soon!
Lots of CW news bits circulating this week:
*One Tree Hill's Lindsey will return for multiple episodes next season! TV Guide reports that even though Michaela McManus will also appear on SVU, she's made time to return to OTH for more than one episode. After last season's ups and downs with Lucas, we thought we'd seen the last of Lindsey, but it looks like she's back for more. Are you excited about this casting news?

*In other news, remember Jared Padalecki's Christmas movie? Lionsgate has quietly removed it from its big-screen offerings and changed it to a direct-to-video title. Ouch.
We figured something was wrong with the picture when it wasn't actually released last Christmas. We can't imagine there was any problem with the acting -- Jared starred alongside movie luminaries Peter O'Toole and Marcia Gay Harden -- so we're guessing something went terribly awry with the story, which is inspired by the life of Thomas Kinkade (the "Painter of Light") or the production, which Kinkade was heavily involved in. And while we weren't exactly salivating for the Thomas Kinkade Story, we are bummed for Jared -- this sounded like his chance for mainstream movie success. Maybe next time, Jared!
*Ed Westwick has been making news for yet another one of his talents. Besides his considerable acting prowess (who else could play Chuck Bass?) and musical abilities in his band, The Filthy Youth, the British star revealed to People that he's also a poet. Read one of Ed's poems and tell us what you think: should he keep pumping out the poems or stick to his day job?
Blake Lively has a big birthday to celebrate -- the golden girl of Gossip Girl turns 21 today. That's right -- Blake is finally the legal age to start drinking some of those cocktails that Serena has apparently been knocking back since seventh grade of so.
Serena's had one hell of a year -- she returned from self-imposed exile to be with her suicidal brother, fell in love with a nice guy, had an illicit affair or two revealed, fought with and made up with (and fought with and made up with and fought with and made up with) her best friend, fended off the deranged stalkerish behavior of an ex-buddy, showed up in a tragically mis-styled bridesmaid dress for her mom's umpteenth wedding -- and that's just scratching the surface! She also managed to capture the attention of the Upper East Side and look damn good doing it.
Blake herself has lived a similar whirlwind since Gossip Girl debuted -- she's been on magazine covers, had glowing features written about her, and generally become a media darling. We see her beaming smile, gorgeous blond locks and fabulous fashion everywhere we look. Not bad for a young woman who broke into acting only three years ago in The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants.
We hope Blake has a great time on her birthday, whether she's snuggling up with real-life boyfriend Penn Badgley, out partying with her friends, or having a relaxing weekend with a few special folks. Happy birthday, Blake!
Leave your birthday wishes for Blake in the comments.
Chad Michael Murray turns 27 today. Happy birthday, Chad!
The One Tree Hill star has had quite a year. Chad scored a Teen Choice surfboard earlier this month when he won for Choice TV Actor. And he's been busy on the set of OTH this summer -- Chad shared at Teen Choice that he'll be penning an episode of One Tree Hill this season -- a noir-inspired episode! We can't wait to see Chad's episode.
Chad and Lucas Scott are both writers, but that's where the similarities end. While Chad spent a calm year working on OTH and hanging out with his long-time fiancee, Kenzie, Lucas had one of his most tumultuous years, relationship- and career-wise, yet! He returned to Tree Hill to find his brother Nathan and best friend Haley in bad shape and struggling with their marriage. He had a serious girlfriend, Lindsey, but their relationship wasn't quite the same once he ran into (and locked lips with!) old flame Peyton. Finally, he and Lindsey made it to the altar, only to be left there when Lindsey realized they weren't on the same page with their relationship. And that was only the first half of the season!
We also saw Lucas in so many other memorable scenes -- coaching the Ravens, bonding with Nathan, and even the shocker when he drunkenly told Peyton he hated her! And then there's the finale that left us hanging... who did Lucas call and ask to marry him in Vegas? Guess we'll find out in a few weeks on the OTH premiere!
Thanks, Chad, for bringing Lucas to life and making OTH an addiction for so many of us. We hope you have a wonderful birthday! Post your birthday wishes for Chad in the comments.

Whoa. We're pretty much blown away by "Faith's" lethal combination of heartwrenching decisions, surprising twists, and tearjerking moments. There wasn't a dry eye in the house after we watched this episode.
Dean's at death's door, which means the conflicting Winchester ideologies really come into play -- making us realize that Sam and Dean are not on the same page when it comes to life-and-death situations. In this podcast, we discuss Dean's self-esteem issues, the Reaper's creepy grin, Darla's role, and the painful realization that the brothers just can't save everyone, no matter how hard they try.

Smallville is really pulling out all the stops this season when it comes to Big Bads. We already know that Clark and Co. will be dealing with a devious corporate head (Tess Mercer) and a villain who can kill Superman (Doomsday). Now we've learned that the show is bringing in another heavy hitter to challenge Kal El.
TVGuide reports that Clark will meet the alien princess/powerhouse Maxima in season 8. Those of you who are familiar with the comics know Maxima is an extraterrestrial hottie who's looking for love -- or at least a suitable mate who can father superpowered children. Kal El fits the bill, but Clark isn't interested, because he's already involved with an Earth sweetie. Maxima doesn't take rejection well, and destruction ensues.
In other news, we ran across a couple of great interviews with Allison Mack and Justin Hartley. There are some mild spoilers, so we'll post the rest after the break. Don't click if you don't want to know!
Allison tells Comic Book Resources that we'll also see another powerful woman from the comics -- Bette San Souci, otherwise known as Plastique, an explosive villain. She comes into Chloe's life when Ms. Sullivan takes over Lana's Isis foundation, using her computer skills, healing powers and general kick-assedness to aid the meteor-afflicted. This mission will take her out of her realm of faithful sidekick and make Chloe more of a force in her own right, Allison says.
"I think Chloe is really taking on the whole Mother Teresa kind of thing that's been looming around since she started her superpower of healing a couple of season ago,” Mack said. “She's got such a huge heart and she is recognizing that there are more people that need her other than Clark Kent. [She is] sort of starting to cut the apron strings and let Clark venture into his own sort of thing cause she is really seeing how many people need her help and Bette is just the first of I think many.”
Allison also tells CBR how much she enjoys playing a character whose fate isn't already known to countless comics fans: "My part as this character has not been anything secure,” Mack explained, “so we've really been able to work in quite an equal partnership -- the writers, myself and the fans -- in shaping who this character is going to be and shaping the direction she is going to go. So I really like the fact that everything is new and that we're really molding a brand new character together.”
Justin Hartley, on the other hand, is dipping into more DC lore as he returns as Oliver Queen/Green Arrow. Justin tells CBR that Smallville will dip into the Green Arrow origin story, showing Ollie alone on an island, developing his archery skills to survive.
Justin also says we'll be seeing another side of Ollie when he starts questioning whether the Green Arrow gig is really worth it. "Oliver gets broken down a little bit [this season]. He starts looking at all the things he sacrificed to do what he does and he starts to wonder whether or not it was worth it, which is kind of cool.”
What do you think of it all? Are you excited about Maxima? Are you looking forward to Chloe's new role? Are you intrigued by a second-guessing Ollie? Talk about it in the comments!
In the second part of this interview, Sam Witwer talks about how cool it was playing Darth Vader's apprentice in The Force: Unleashed, shares what it's really like to wield a lightsaber, and gives us a clue as to what Doomsday's transformation will be like. Check it out!
