One Tree Hill: "I and Love and You"

Listen Now

The truth comes out on One Tree Hill -- to no one's surprise, Renee is exposed as a lying skank. Dan milks the moment by strapping her into a lie-detector, which says all of her answers are true. Then he reveals that the lie detector is faked. And at the end, he reveals a big old scar on his chest, suggesting he may not be on borrowed time like we think. Intriguing.... Meanwhile, Naley angsts, Brooke pouts, and Clay and Quinn get a little flashback love, showing us how they got to where they are now.

I kind of like this episode but I totally agree with you guys that they should have been together. I also thought that James did a really good job directing. I am pretty sure thought that this is the second episode that he has directed. He directed an episode last season too I am pretty sure.

No Mia again?

I liked this episode, but then again I hated it. I don't know. If I wasn't so invested in this show, I'd be considering stopping watching at this point. It's gotten pretty out of hand with the boringness.

Anyway, I did want to say. There was an interview with Mark (I think on Buddy TV but I could be wrong), where he said that there was one episode where Sophia wasn't in the show, but then they ultimately ended up putting her in. Her whole thing this time seemed so weird an unnecessary that I'm thinking this was that episode. ...Just something to consider.

Anyhoo, on to tonight's episode!

The way they made Dan's heart reference in the recap of this episode & then followed by showing his scar near the end,i guess it sorta implied that Dan has got the heart.Btw great podcast guys, completely agree with you on Quinn,Brooke & everybody else.

Hi girls, I like hearing what you think about the episode and is interesting to know that you weren't so pleased with it and some other were like "best episode so far", so it's good to hear all points of view.
One thing, this wasn't James Lafferty directing debut, he did it last season, don't know which one but it was around the 22 or so.
In another subject, I love to hear the predictions you have, the ghost was correct, but I just laughed with the Millie on heroin and Brooke re-hiring Alex LOL; and I agree with Sarah that Dan had a heart from somewhere, not sure that it's from Clay's ex but in OTH anything can happen. And I'm still waiting to find out what's the real deal with Dan and Rachel.
Anyway, good podcast and I'm looking forward to hear you next week.

My favorite part of the episode was Clay's storyline. I thought it was really touching and sweet but for the rest of the episode it was kind of blah... the Renee stuff was bound to come out anyways and it wasn't that intersting to watch. So I'm with you guys on that. As for James Lafferty directing I thought he did pretty good considering some of this episodes material. And BTW this was his second episode that he directed, the first one was last spring. ;)
