WINTER STORM WARNING IN EFFECT
ANOTHER SNOWSTORM GATHERS...ROADS WILL BE MESSY!
A quiet, mostly cloudy day for your Monday with highs in the upper 20s...Cold weather continues and some roads are still pretty rough...Your evening rush hour for today should be just fine too...
Snow moves in tonight after midnight and picks up with intensity by Tuesday's morning rush hour! We could have a couple of inches on the ground by 9:00am. This will make for some tough travel and more than likely result in school delays and closings. Steady snow will continue through Tuesday afternoon with amounts around 3 to 6 inches on the ground by Tuesday night! More light snow, snow showers, and lake-effect snows will continue for Wednesday. This could result in additional accumulations of 1 to 3 inches. This should put complete totals from 5 to 9 inches by Wednesday night in central Indiana! Along with the snow, more wind will create blowing and drifting of snow through Wednesday night...Look for more updates on possible snow totals throughout the day!
ROUND 2...ANOTHER WINTER STORM HEADED OUR WAY
We saw a quiet day weather wise across Central Indiana today but big changes are in store for the work week as a potent winter storm has its sights set on Central Indiana.

WINTER STORM WARNING CONTINUES
HEAVY SNOW UPDATE @ 11:00AM
Reports of moderate to heavy snow now falling in the area...accumulations are now underway as the winds intensify...Snow will begin to pile-up and roads conditions will worsen. The evening rush will be a different story than this morning's rush! Here's your timeline:
-5pm: Heavy and steady snow falling/ roads messy and covered in spots
-7pm: Could be the worst of conditions at this very hour!
-10pm: Steady snow and blowing snow/ As much as 5" on the ground
-9am Saturday: Snow still falling and breezy...roads a mess with totals around 7" in the city.
Snowfall totals could exceed earlier expectations with amounts ranging from 5 to 10" in the surrounding areas by Saturday night! Keep in mind these 10 inch accumulations will be very sparse...
Brian will have more later today with updates....
WINTER STORM WARNING ISSUED - FIRST OF TWO STORMS
SNOW BLOWS IN TOMORROW...COULD BE HEAVY IN SPOTS!
Another quiet day shaping up with mostly cloudy skies and dry conditions throughout the entire afternoon and evening! The large winter storm is now underway and growing! Should begin to make its track toward the circle city by 2:00am Friday morning, hence activating the Winter Storm Watch.
The combination of snow, sleet and rain could make for some slippery travel for the early rush hour. It appears that as the day wears on snow will fall steadily and heavily at times. Snow will begin to pile-up and roads will be quite messy by Friday night AND Saturday morning! How much snow? It appears that a solid 4 to 7 inches of snow should fall in central Indiana by Saturday morning. Some areas may actually squeeze out 8 inches. This will be an all day and all night event so the worst of the conditions will be on Saturday, as the totals will be at their highest then...
WINTRY WEATHER HEADED TO CENTRAL INDIANA
BIGGEST SNOW OF THE SEASON COULD BE ON THE WAY!?!
A couple of quiet days are expected for today and Thursday...A little sun for both days and mainly dry conditions too. Highs for the next two days will be seasonal with ranges from 36 to 40 degrees...
Jumping ahead to Friday and the potential for a more significant snowfall here in the Ohio Valley...early weather models are showing plenty of moisture for the Indy...question is how cold will it be when the precipitation arrives in the city. If its all snow totals could exceed more than 6 inches...if its a rain/snow mix totals will be less. More to come in the days ahead!
