THE UNOFFICIAL END OF SUMMER
Although the actual calendar says that fall won't officially arrive for another 21 days yesterday marked the end to the Meteorological summer which is considered June, July and August.

Staying Dry...Showers Nearby!
The beautiful stretch of weather rolls on but a few clouds and showers will be nearby today. A disturbance or wave in the atmosphere is kicking off showers in north central Kentucky and extreme southern Indiana! This wave will hover south along the Ohio river with scattered showers.

Temperatures cracked the 80 degree mark Thursday and are expected to stay there through the Holiday weekend. However an upper - level low could pose a rain threat.

Clear skies, light winds, and low-level moisture is creating a foggy start this morning to the area! Mostly concentrated to areas outside of I-465 and in the valleys...no advisories have been issued but most areas will experience visibilities under 1 mile through 8:30am.

Rain Chance Continues...Milder Temperatures!
After rain fell heavily in southern Indiana on Sunday with totals of 1 to 3 inches...The rain will not fall as heavily today! We are expecting spotty showers to continue around the area with a few storms possible but no severe weather anticipated! South winds are taking hold, so plan on a milder afternoon and this trend will continue through the entire workweek!

A Drier Start Today...Rain Chances Continue!
Passing showers and storms from yesterday have subsided for now...the morning rush hour looks rather quiet and mild for today! We are expecting some sun and warmer conditions today with highs in the lower 80s. This heat and tropical air should be enough to pop-off a few storms and showers yet agin this afternoon...Although the season of fall officially arrives @ 5:19pm, this weather has more of a spring than fall feel!

Sharply colder air will pour into the area over the next few days...this combined with a strong, well defined area of low pressure will create an extremely vigorous wind belt! This will keep winds steadily up between 20 to 30mph and gusts over 50mph!

PATCHY FROST THURSDAY MORNING
The coldest night of the season settles into central Indiana Wednesday night. While clouds hindered the drop off during the overnight hours the past two days - clear skies and light winds will allow temperatures to tumble.
