UPPER LOW SET TO DEPART
A upper low pressure system continues to linger in the Midwest Wednesday afternoon. Cloudy skies - cool temperatures and rain showers have accompanied this system since Monday. It will finally depart Thursday.
The low is cut off from the main branch of the jet stream and it has moved painfully slow across Missouri. The low, centered over Kansas City Monday now lies in central Indiana Wednesday afternoon. The system will linger Thursday but depart to northeast through the day. The chance of a shower will continue through Thursday afternoon with some sun returning for Friday.
Quiet weather returns for the weekend with a slight warm up too. The next system begins to take shape Monday and Tuesday. This system - at this distance could cause headaches for holiday travelers. Long range models continue to develop a push of cold air and growing prospects of a measurable snow for parts of the Midwest. Stay tuned the first snow of the season could be on the horizon.
