WETTEST DAY IN OVER A MONTH

Showers will linger through the day Wednesday as an upper level low pressure system crawls across the central U.S.

Nearly a half inch of rain fell Tuesday in Indianapolis - the biggest rain since the 30th of October.  The culprit is an upper low that has been cut off from the main branch of the jet stream.  These systems move painfully slow and it will duplicate Tuesday's weather on Wednesday.

Scattered showers will remain in the area through Wednesday night and along with it chilly temperatures.  Highs Wednesday may fail to reach the 50 degree mark for the third consecutive day.

Improvements will arrive just in time for the weekend.  Clouds will break for some sun by Friday and the weekend looks dry for now.
