THE COLD CONTINUES
An arctic high is providing us with the bone chilling cold. However, it's also stabilizing our atmosphere. Winter storm warnings extend from the west coast to the east coast and our far southern counties are under a winter weather advisory tonight thru tomorrow. We can thank that arctic high for pushing this winter storm just south of Indiana. The heaviest snow, ice, sleet, freezing rain, and rain, will develop in parts of Oklahoma, Arkansas, Tennessee, and Kentucky. They're expecting several inches of snow. For us, just some light snow showers in our southern communities while we'll stay dry here in Indianapolis. Dry, but cloudy and cold throughout the rest of the day and into tonight. We'll top out at 19 degrees together and dip to 13 tonight. We'll eventually see the sun peak it's head out tomorrow afternoon and stay with us through the weekend. A high of 21 on Saturday and 27 on Sunday will keep us below average once again. Another chance for snow develops late Monday night into Tuesday with temps in the mid 30's. We'll keep you up to date on the southern storm today on Fox59 news first at 4, and as always I'll be back with you again this weekend. Stay warm!
