THURSDAY'S COLD AND SLICK CONDITIONS CONTINUE
We saw areas that picked up near a half inch of snow overnight. It was just enough to ice over the road ways and cause slick conditions.
Temperatures will tumble today so we'll continue to see slick spots as we fight the cold. We hit our high today at midnight of 32 degrees. I never thought I'd say 32 degrees is warm, but compared to how cold we'll get today 32 sounds pretty nice. We'll see temperatures in the low to mid teens throughout most of the day. Factor in the breezy winds and we're talking about wind chill readings below zero to start off our Thursday morning. The good news, we're not expecting any snow for the next several days but we will keep the cold temperatures in the teens and low 20's around for the next 5 to 7 days. A massive storm system is getting it's act together near Oklahoma at this hour. Areas like Arkansas, Southern Kentucky, and Oklahoma will be in the path of this nasty storm. Several inches up to a foot of snow are expected. If you have any travel plans down south make sure to track the system on our Live Guardian Radar on fox59.com, and check back at 4pm with Chief Meteorologist Brian Wilkes.
