ROUND 2...ANOTHER WINTER STORM HEADED OUR WAY
We saw a quiet day weather wise across Central Indiana today but big changes are in store for the work week as a potent winter storm has its sights set on Central Indiana.
A Winter Storm Watch is in effect starting tomorrow evening. Monday's commutes will be fine as we see temps in the mid 20's. Monday night we'll see snow develop and then all bets are off. Heavy snow will persist through Tuesday morning as Tuesday mornings rush will be very messy! Snow will accumulate as we're expecting a dry fluffy snow, and an all snow event at that. A few areas could see some sleet mix in, but this snow maker will primarily be an all snow event for much of Indiana. Tuesday we could see snow totals range from 3-7 inches, isolated areas could exceed that 7" mark. Tuesday night winds will pick up and we will have another messy commute for your drive home Tuesday evening. Blowing snow will become an issue as winds will increase with gusts above 40 mph. This will make it hard to get accurate snow totals Tuesday into Wednesday. We could see some bonus snow Wednesday if we see the storm rotate enough moisture back thru the state. At this time, it looks like that will happen and we could pick up and additional 1-3 inches. Again, this storm is still developing and we'll continue to monitor it's track starting tonight on Fox59 news at ten. Join us then and we'll have the latest on the storm and the rest of the 7 day forecast. GO COLTS!
