WINTER STORM WARNING IN EFFECT

THE NEXT STORM MAKES ITS MOVE INTO CENTRAL INDIANA OVERNIGHT.  HEAVY SNOWFALL TOTALS ARE POSSIBLE WITH GUSTY WINDS DEVELOPING.

The next winter storm will send snow into central Indiana beginning later tonight through Wednesday morning.  The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storms Warning for all of central Indian through 1 PM Wednesday afternoon.

Unlike the Friday storm - this storm has much more cold air to work with.  It will be as complex as the last with two areas of low pressure phasing over the Ohio Valley Wednesday morning.  This brand of snow will be of the lighter or fluffier type which will create very dangerous travel conditions late Tuesday night and early Wednesday as gusty northwest winds develop.

Snow will arrive in the city of Indianapolis sometime around midnight and fall through the Tuesday morning commute.  The first round of snow could bring 2 to 4 inches into the area before the Tuesday morning commute comes to an end.

More snow will fall on Tuesday with a possible lull developing Tuesday evening.  An upper level low is expected to strengthen Tuesday night with winds shifting to the northwest and increasing.
