COLD NIGHT AHEAD - MILDEST WEEKEND IN 6 WEEKS

CLEAR SKIES - LIGHT WINDS - LOW DEPOINTS AND LINGERING SNOW COVER WILL SRT THE STAGE FOR COLD TEMPERAUES OVERNIGHT.

Snow cover lingers in central and east central Indiana Thursday night and under a clear sky temperatures will drop off quickly after sunset.  Dew points - a measure of atmospheric moisture - are running in the middle teens - a good indication as to where your temperatures are headed under a clear sky.

Note the snow on the ground over eastern Indiana Thursday afternoon.

Friday will open cold with a temperature of 23 in the city but outlying areas my start in the middle teens.  Sunshine Friday will once again allow temperatures to climb back into the middle 40's with an even milder weekend expected.

Saturday looks to be the better of the two days this weekend.  After another cold start Saturday afternoon will be sunny and temperatures are expected to push up to near 50 degrees.  A weather system out west will carry clouds and a slight chance of showers in for Sunday.  Sunday's high should once again be near the 50 degree mark making this the warmest weekend since January 23 / 24 when the high hit 49 on Saturday and 55 Sunday.

CHECK OUT THE INTERNATIONAL SPACE STATION FRIDAY NIGHT

Look to the southwest sky at 7:18 PM.  The ISS will travel northeast at 17,000 MPH!  Here is a look from the on board web cam just before reaching the west coast of Canada Thursday night.
