COOL PATTERN CONTINUES - MILDER AIR COMING

CLOUDY SKIES AND CHILLY TEMPS WEDNESDAY MAKES THIS THE 27th CONSECUTIVE DAY WITH HIGH TEMPS BELOW NORMAL.  SUNSHINE WILL WARM US UP.

The high in Indianapolis Wednesday failed to reach the 40 degree mark - officially only 38 degrees - and well below the average of 46.  Skies are clearing up north and with clearing expected temperatures overnight will settle in the middle 20's Thursday morning.

VISIBLE SATELLITE WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON.

Note the clearing over northern Indiana.

March sun will return Thursday along with a few afternoon clouds helping boost temps back to around the 40 degree mark.  More sun is forecast Friday with the high Friday climbing into the lower to middle 40's.

A blocking pattern in the upper levels of the atmosphere will slowly break down as we head into the weekend.  A system Friday in the central Plains will generate clouds and send them into central Indiana Saturday.  This system will also pull a milder brand of air in along with the clouds.  There is a slight chance of a few sprinkles of spotty light rain Saturday and again Sunday.  High's this weekend could climb to near the 50 degree mark before a weak front passes Sunday night.

The front Sunday night will settle south of the state and return as a warm front Tuesday.  A stronger and potentially wetter storm system will bring rain chances back to central Indiana Tuesday and Wednesday.
