The first round of heavy rain and thunderstorm activity moved through the state last night and this morning. A few severe thunderstorm warnings were issued....but only one storm report out of Vigo County for winds in excess of 65 mph. Small hail also accompanied that particular cell.

Showers and thunderstorms blew threw Saturday and stayed around to kick off Sunday morning. Some of which were strong to severe, but thankfully widespread severe weather remained to the South.  

SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS ARE MOVING OUT OF CENTRAL INDIANA LATE MONDAY NIGHT.

Storms blew through last night producing strong winds, heavy rain and small hail...little to no damage was reported but the skies sure looked scary at times!  Here's a scene around 6:16 last night from my home in Westfield: 

Things are calmer now as sunshine returns and temperatures will be extremely comfortable.  Expect afternoon highs in the upper 70s, with a nice breeze.  More storms return for Wednesday late afternoon and evening...We'll keep you posted!

BEAUTIFUL WEATHER RETURNED ACROSS CENTRAL INDIANA TUESDAY.  PLENTIFUL SUNSHINE - LOW HUMIDITY AND WARM TEMPERATURES.  80 DEGREE TEMPS ARE POSSIBLE WEDNESDAY BEFORE THUNDERSTORMS DEVELOP.

Another great sunrise this morning with comfy temperatures and light winds.  Expect another warm afternoon too, as clouds begin to increase from the northwest!  Rain and storms are expected late this afternoon and into the evening with some turning severe.  My biggest concern will be strong to damaging winds and isolated pockets of large hail.  It appears that most storms will stay below severe limits which is certainly great news.  Be sure to get latest information with Chief Meteorologist Brian Wilkes at 4:00pm this afternoon...

A COLD FRONT WILL DROP INTO CENTRAL INDIANA LATER THIS AFTERNOON AND SPARK GUSTY / SEVERE STORMS THIS EVENING.  THE FIRST OF THREE SYSTEMS IN THE NEXT SEVEN DAYS.

THE WARMEST AIR IN THREE WEEKS ARRIVED ON WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON JUST AHEAD OF A COLD FRONT.  A FEW THUNDERSTORMS DEVELOPED BUT SEVERE WEATHER DID NOT.

A beautiful start today with another good dose of sunshine expected!  Look for highs this afternoon in the middle 70s, a bit cooler from yesterday's high of 82-degrees.  All this spells another great day!!!  Clouds to increase tonight as isolated storms move in along a warm front by Friday morning.  Most storms overnight will be mainly west and north of Indy.  Scattered storms expected off and on for Friday with potentially damaging winds and large hail...We're on until 10:00am on FOX 59, join us right now! 

THE BEAUTIFUL THURSDAY WEATHER WILL BE A DISTANT MEMORY COME FRIDAY AND SATURDAY.  ANOTHER SPRING STORM WILL SEND TWO ROUNDS OF THUNDERSTORMS INTO CENTRAL INDIANA - SOME STORMS MAY BE SEVERE.

A STRONG COLD FRONT WILL SWEEP INTO CENTRAL INDIANA LATER TONIGHT.  RAPID THUNDERSTORM DEVELOPMENT LIKLEY - SEVERE THREAT INCREASING.

A COLD FRONT SWEPT ACROSS CENTRAL INDIANA FRIDAY NIGHT BRINGING AN END TO THUNDERSTORMS.  FROST AND FREEZE CONDITIONS BY SUNDAY MORNING.

After temperatures topped out in the low 80's yesterday, a dramatic drop in temperatures arrived today.

The end of the weekend will shape up to be a complete 180 compared to the beginning of the weekend. Although we won't see a huge jump in temperatures today, we'll see sunshine and calmer winds.

THE COOL AIR OVER CENTRAL INDIANA IS ABOUT TO BE REPLACED.  WARMER AIR IS MOVING NORTH AND WITH IT SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS.  STORMS COULD GET ACTIVE TOWARD SUNRISE.

A BREAK FROM THE RAIN WEDNESAY EVENING BUT NEW SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS COULD ARRIVE AGAIN BY THURSDAY MORNING.

THE WARM HUMID AIR WILL GIVE WAY TO AN APPROACHING COLD FRONT LATER THIS EVENING.

THE LACK OF THUNDERSTORMS SO FAR ACROSS CENTRAL INDIANA WILL BE ENDING AS A COLD FRONT APPROACHES.  STORMS ARE INCREASING SOUTHWEST AND SPREADING NORTHEAST LATE THURSDAY EVENING.

It was a stormy night after a very warm Thursday (83-degrees officially).  Storms overnight prompted warnings for several counties with a possible tornado touching down near Swayzee in Grant County.  Here's the report:

Non-severe storms and showers will linger this morning through early afternoon.  Best chances of rain will fall south of Indy after lunch today.  Expect some sunshine from north to south throughout the day with a high in the city today around 72-degrees.  Some fog in the overnight tonight with sunshine and drier conditions expected for Saturday!  Should be nice weather for Buffet and of course opening day at IMS.  Rain chances return for Sunday but plenty of dry weather should be expected on Sunday too.

After an unsettled week, the end to the work week couldn't have been better. Sunshine ruled the sky today with temps in the upper 60's and low 70's.

THE MOST HUMID AIR OF THE SEASON HAS BEEN WIPED AWAY AS A COLD FRONT SETTLES SOUTH FRIDAY EVENING.  THIS FRONT COULD RETURN THIS WEEKEND WITH RAIN.

What a beautiful day! Today will showcase a mix of sun and clouds with temperatures near 70 degrees. Enjoy today while you can because clouds will increase today as rain will develop from SW to NE throughout the day.

Live Guardian Radar is detecting scattered showers across parts of Indiana. The heaviest batch is in Southern Indiana with another cluster of heavier rain entering Western Indiana. This radar look is around the noon hour, but will change in location throughout the day as scattered showers persist.

Another cloudy day with rain expected...unlike the weekend, rain could be heavier in pockets and make for some pretty soggy conditions by tonight!  Look for more clouds on Tuesday with scattered showers as temperatures remain on the cooler-side...Look for drier conditions by Wednesday as we begin a significant warm-up by the weekend!

TUESDAY MARKED THE 9TH CONSECUTIVE DAY WITH MEASURABLE RAIN IN INDIANAPOLIS.  THE COOL - DAMP WEATHER WILL DEPART WEDNESDAY.

THE STRETCH OF WET WEATHER REACHED ITS 10TH DAY WEDNESDAY.  WHILE RAINFALL DEPARTED EARLY WEDNESDAY THE NEXT SYSTEM ARRIVES THURSDAY.

Thick fog this morning will give way to early sunshine today!  Should be a great start with fairly mild temperatures and more importantly dry conditions.  Clouds will increase throughout the day as an approaching storm enters Indiana.  Right now, it appears that most rain will hold off until very late this afternoon with the biggest push of rain arriving tonight and through Friday.  Rain totals over the next 48 hours will range from 1 to 2 inches...Highs today in the lower 70s!

FRIDAY WILL MARK THE 12th CONSECUTIVE DAY WITH MEASURABLE RAIN.  A BIG PATTERN CHANGE IS COMING.

FRIDAY'S RAINFALL MARKED THE 12TH CONSECUTIVE DAY OF MEASURABLE RAIN IN INDIANAPOLIS - THE SECOND LONGEST STRETCH ON RECORD!

Highs hit the upper 80's today with humidity levels off the chart! We won't see temperatures cool much overnight with lows in the upper 60's. We'll keep it dry tonight then all bets are off tomorrow...and even in the days to come.

FOR THE FIRST TIME THIS SEASON THE HEAT INDEX TOPPED 90 DEGREES IN INDIANAPOLIS MONDAY.  A EARLY SEASON HOT DOME WILL KEEP OUR WEATHER WARM.

TUESDAY MARKED THE THIRD DAY OF 80 DEGREE WARMTH.  THE WARM PATTERN LOOKS LIKE IT WILL HOLD INTO THE HOLIDAY WEEKEND.  A COLD FRONT COULD BRING SOME RAIN.

WEDNESDAY MARKED THE FOURTH STRAIGHT DAY OF 80 DEGREE TEMPERATRUES.  A WEAK FRONT MAY SPARK A FEW THUNDERSTORMS.

A FEW THUNDERSTORMS DEVELOPED LATE WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON BRINGING A VIVD LIGHTNING DISPLAY AND LOCALLY HEAVY RAINFALL.  STORMS WILL FIRE TOMORROW.

A COLD FRONT SETTELS ACROSS CENTRAL INDIANA THURSDAY EVENING.  THIS FRONT SPARKED THUNDERSTORMS WITH LOCALLY VERY HEAVY RAIN.  A NICE CHANGE IS COMING AS THE WEEKEND GETS UNDERWAY.

Rain is gone for now as sun and less humid conditions are bulding in this morning.  Should be a great day at the track with a few clouds by the afternoon and highs in the lower 80s.  Any rain chances today will be confined to areas east and southeast of the city, so the Speedway will stay dry all day!

More great weather for the weekend with isolated storm chances returning by Sunday afternoon (Race Day) under hot and muggy conditions...best chance of rain for the holiday weekend arrives on Monday!  Have a great and safe weekend...

Sunny skies will dominate for much of the day today. As the afternoon wears on clouds will build and a few pop up showers are possible in our far southern counties. Highs will top out in the upper 80's for the 7th straight day in a row. Heavier showers and thunderstorms will increase over the next 24-48 hours.

Although Live Guardian Radar is completely dry right now, rain and thunderstorms will develop as early as tomorrow morning across parts of the state.

The first half of the weekend started great. Yesterday highs reached into the upper 80's under mostly sunny skies. Today we'll see much of the same, with exception of rain developing.

Showers and thunderstorms are developing across most of Northern Indiana at this hour. These storms will become more widepread as the afternoon and evening wears on affecting communties along and south of I-70.

Memorial Day kicked off sunny and dry, but ended soggy as showers and storms moved through the state. We've cleared out across the state at this hour, but more wet weather is headed our way.
