MORE STORMS & MORE HOT TEMPS!

Father's Day is less than two hours away and we're already tracking storms...and sultry temperatures! We hit 86 degrees in Indianapolis today, surrounding counties also topped out in the mid to upper 80's, but when you factor in the humidity it felt near triple digits at times. And the heat isn't going anywhere!

Father's Day will showcase more hot temperatures and the chance for storms. Much of the day tomorrow will be dry with a mix of sun and clouds. It will also be HOT! Temps will top out once again in the mid to upper 80's and will feel every bit of that as heat indices will be in the 90's for the second straight day in a row. As the atmosphere heats up, showers can pop, but an significant wet weather isn't expected to develop until later tomorrow into Monday morning. The potential for severe weather does exist with this latest round of storms, but the majority of the day tomorrow looks beautiful, dry, and hot! We'll continue to watch the potential for flooding as much of southern Indiana remains under a flood warning

While tomorrow will be hot, the hottest weather of the season will arrive just in time for the official start of summer, Monday. Temperatures will near 100 degrees, and more storms will arrive. Join us Sunday night on Fox59 news at ten for the latest forecast.

Happy Father's Day!
