STORMS ERUPTING IN THE MIDWEST - HEADING HERE

The weather didn't disappoint for Father's Day today. Mainly sunny skies helped temperatures climb to the upper 80's, low 90's across the state. We stayed dry all day with the expectation of a few spotty showers and storms that developed in our southern communities. One storm gained enough strength in Jackson County near the Seymour area that a Severe Thunderstorm Warning was issued.

A few spotty showers are developing across Northern Indiana, but they won't amount to much overnight. A few more isolated showers can't be ruled out throughout the remainder of the evening and into the early morning hours.

A better chance for significant rain, and severe weather arrives for the work week. Not only will we be battling rain chances, but also the hottest air of the season is right around the corner. Join Meteorologist Jim O'Brien for the latest on the storms and heat...starting Monday morning on Fox59 morning news
