Thunderstorms rolled into central Indiana with heavy rain and frequent cloud to ground lightning Monday morning. More thunderstorms are coming through Wednesday along with building heat. Summer officially arrived at 7:28 AM.

The threat for thunderstorms will continue as a Rim of Fire Pattern remains intact. Thunderstorms will continue to rotate around the perimeter of the heat - centered south of the state. The chance of severe storms and heavy rainfall will continue through Wednesday.
The atmosphere will become more unstable later tonight providing the next round of storms and more favorable environment to become severe storms. Damaging winds are the main threat with these storm clusters. The threat will remain as long as the pattern stays intact. The Storm Prediction Center has placed central Indiana in the Slight Risk for severe storms through Wednesday.
