Sunshine is back and winds are slacking...all good news for your Friday! Expect mostly sunny skies Saturday with breezy southwest winds and milder temperatures. A few clouds are expected on Sunday but still plenty of sunshine and dry conditions for your Halloween gatherings. Next week looks pretty quiet in terms of rainfall...only small chances but nothing remotely close to the severe weather of last week! Have a great and safe Halloween!

Goodbye 70s! A cold front arriving this morning will be a true "reality check" that autumn is now here...Stiff winds will continue today from the northwest as clouds drift in throughout the day. In response, temperatures will struggle to reach the middle 50s. As skies clear tonight and winds slacken, cold air will sink to the surface. This will make for the coldest morning in quite some time for Indianapolis. A FREEZE WARNING will go into effect at 4:00am tomorrow morning!

After 8 tornados were confirmed moving through Indiana on Tuesday there's been many asking about the scale used to determine the strength of a twister.

Still a breezy day but nothing like yesterday expected! Gusty winds will pick up through the afternoon but with lots of sunshine should have us with highs in the upper 60s. When the winds relax at times, it will be a beautiful afternoon. A second cold front drops in tonight and will bring sharply colder air in for Thursday! Wind chills in the lower 30s tomorrow morning and a chill that will remain all day Thursday!

Damaging winds will be likely today with winds in excess of 60mph possible in some areas this morning and into the afternoon. The best chance for severe weather will be between the hours of 10am and 2pm today! A High Wind Warning will be in effect starting at 8:00am and last through 8:00pm! A Tornado Watch is now in effect until noon for Indy and all counties west of Indy! Our biggest threat today will be damaging winds...be sure to tie things down in your back and front yards before leaving for work...more updates coming!

Wow...what a warm start today! Lower 60s this morning to near record heat this afternoon. Isolated showers will be quite limited for today but a small chance exist. Look for highs today in the upper 70s (record high: 82) on warm, steady winds. SEVERE weather possible Tuesday with damaging winds likely. Storms will move in tomorrow afternoon and warnings could be issued! Much cooler, breezy air to end the workweek.

What a morning! And, a very cold morning at that. Terre Haute, Shelbyville, and Bloomington all dipped to 27 degrees this morning...by far the coldest air we've seen in months! Indy hit 35, Lafayette 30, Muncie and Peru 31.
